Has the Holy Spirit ever whispered to you in the middle of the night? Dealing with my own then teenagers, I had been thinking about the parable of the prodigal son the day before and this question jarred me out of a sound sleep. “Where was the Mother?” The thought was so compelling, I had to get up and search for the answer. I found her! She was there all along weaving her quiet influence into the lives of her family. Her story and those of many other hidden women of the Bible still bring messages to us of wisdom and encouragement. For this month’s study, we will search for several women seemingly invisible though their essence moves throughout their entire story. For our creative activity, I will share an old recipe found in my Mother-in-Law’s Bible years ago. It is the recipe of a Scripture Cake. All the ingredients are hidden in the Bible. When blended together they bake into a scented, delicious treat to be savored. Hidden in Plain Sight - Silent Women of the Bible. A discussion of several invisible women will be led by Paula Moore. We will break up into groups to search for the Scripture Cake’s hidden ingredients. Each participant will receive their own recipe copy and a Scripture Cake loaf to take home. All lesson guides, supplies and materials are included. Class is held in Canaan Missionary Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.

Cancellation Policy

I understand that emergencies happen and there will be times a reservation needs to be canceled. Seating is limited and very likely there will be a list of people waiting for the opportunity to paint. Should you be unable to attend, you are strongly encouraged to find a replacement painter once a reservation has been made. Please settle the cost with that person and notify us contact information for the individual taking your place. For cancellations that occur 24 hours or more before a class or workshop, cancellations must be made to paula@paulamooreart.com.In case of a canceled class or workshop, students will either receive a full refund, a credit transferring the reservations to a later date valid for one year.
